Kim Coleman Foote

Kim Coleman Foote is a writer originally from New Jersey. Her work explores intersections between racial identity, gender, and class, and has appeared or is forthcoming in Ecotone, The Rumpus, Green Mountains Review, and elsewhere. Kim is currently working on a story collection about the Great Migration and a novel that centers women's experiences of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. She received an MFA in creative writing from Chicago State University and is the recipient of several fellowships, including from MacDowell, the NEA, NYFA, Center for Fiction, and Fulbright. Kim was most recently awarded a 2021-22 Bennett Fellowship at Phillips Exeter Academy, where she will serve as writer in residence.
