Valerie Carpenter MPS

About this speaker

Valerie is a native of Osceola, AR and has a true heart for leadership. She attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) where she obtained her B.A. in Anthropology with minors in Information Technology and Biology. As an anthropology major, Valerie grew a keen interest in linguistics and the culture of Black groups. Valerie presented on "The Black Hair Movement" in February 2021. Valerie is a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service where she obtained her Masters of Public Service degree. Valerie is currently employed at Community Connections in Washington, D.C. as the Homeless Outreach Specialist.
